This week we have seen in places 60cm of fresh snow in Sestriere. It snowed Monday and Tuesday breaking for Wednesday and then started again today. It is due to snow tomorrow and then again on Monday next week. The temperature is set to remian cold for the next 7 days helping preserve the snow.
Skiing is excellent with all the links open. The avalanche threat is currently at 4, one below the maximum 5 so just take care if you venture off piste and only do so with the correct equipment! Official snow depths are 80cm lower slopes and 160cm upper slopes.
