Sestriere is a cosmopolitan and lively ski resort attracting many overseas visitors in addition to the local Italians. The main street through the resort has plenty of bars and restaurants and on a weekend this becomes the main promenade for the Italians as they stroll up and down in all their finery.
For drinks straight after your day on the slopes head for Pinkies Pizzeria which seems to be the place to gather and exchange stories from your day on the slopes. As the name would suggest it also serves great pizza if you find yourself staying slightly longer than expected!
Later on you have Irish Igloo bar which is great for music and a lively atmosphere and if its cocktails that your after then Spotties Bar wont disappoint. For those wanting to strut their stuff into the wee small hours there’s Tabata disco. If you feel the need to sing then don’t worry as Al Kovo offers the all impotant karaoke, why not, your on holiday! Osteria Barabba is a great wine bar/restaurant.
Sestriere’s restaurants range from friendly pizzerias and bars to elegant restaurants. Pasta dishes range from approximately €6.50 and pizzas from €6. A three course meal would start from €16. A few suggestions include Pinkies Pizzeria for pizzas, The Cavern for a more international menu and Osteria Barabba or Mama Lia for typical local foods.
